Janell was working the front desk a lot while we were there and we bombarded her with questions and she was very helpful. Fresh fruit, bagels, yogurt, pancakes, sausage, etc., you could even have an omelete custom made. We had the buffet every day in the hotel restaurant and it was a step above your normal buffet. If looking for a day trip, research these and I think you'll be happy, Weston in particular was incredible.
One unexpected pleasure about being by the airport, it put us very close to a couple of day trip locations the cities of Weston and Liberty. Some of the chairs were a little beat up but I mentioned that when checking out so that should be taken care of by now. There is an indoor and outdoor pool that are connected with an outdoor deck with plenty of chairs and umbrellas. Rooms were good sized and comfortable with a refrigerator and very large TV. We were greeted at the front desk by Mary, who was very efficient and helpful and she started our stay off on the right foot.
First of all, hotel is very near to the airport, but an easy 15 minute drive to get into the city. In the end, we chose to save a little money and glad we did. We were in KC for a few days before July 4 and debated about getting a cheaper room (saved $50/day) a little outside the city, or spending more to be in the cities tourist areas.
